About | Salem, OR Family Photographer

My name is Beth Miller and I am a natural light photographer--specializing in senior, family, children, newborn and commercial modeling photography. I live in Salem, Oregon, but I work with clients from all over the Northwest and even all over the world, thru boutique modeling. While I have had a love for photography since I was a child, my business started with capturing my own children. I have spent countless hours perfecting my craft. The desire to know more about my camera & the fundamentals of a great shot, have become my passion over the years. While photography is art, it is also very personal. It is such an honor to come alongside and capture the personality of people through my lens. I am very laid back, and it is my goal to make people feel at ease in front of my camera. I prefer to use natural light, on location, to enhance the beauty of each moment but I also have a studio in my home. I would love to get the chance to meet you and capture your lifes moments.

A dream come true – Willamette Valley, Oregon Senior Photographer

Thursday, August 7th, 2014

I have to admit when I received the email from Jordynn’s mom about what she wanted for her senior pictures I did a little squeal  of  delight and lost sleep for a few nights dreaming of the possibilities!    Senior sessions are my favorite type.  But for a long time I have wanted to do a themed shoot, and I really love Alice and Wonderland.  When I heard Jordynn did too and wanted to incorporate it some how into her session, oh man those creative juices started flowing!

Soccer and Smart Cars and a bit of fog, Class of 2014- Salem Oregon Senior Photographer

Monday, May 12th, 2014

Fog is something I have always avoided when doing a photo session with a client. But on this day it was unavoidable, senior deadlines were looming and busy schedules made rescheduling impossible, so we decided to go for it.   I won’t ever try and reschedule for fog again, it added so much to the session!

Oliver is a soccer goalie at Western Mennonite high school and hopes to take the next step and be a goalie in college.    He also has a great sense of humor and when he said he wanted pictures with his car, I wasn’t expecting a smart car.  We had a lot of fun with that! salem-oregon-senior-photographer-oliver1 salem-oregon-senior-photographer-oliver2 salem-oregon-senior-photography-oliver3

I am so excited to add to this!! I just heard that Oliver has signed a letter of intent to play goalie in college! Congrats Oliver!  The Larks are lucky to get you!

I am so blessed to have such great clients! I love getting to know my clients, but seniors are especially fun, they are at an incredible time in their lives and I love hearing what they plan and dream for the future! Ashleigh (yes I had two Ashleighs as clients this year!) wants to study photography! So we had a bit of fun chatting about that! Best of luck in the future Ashleigh!

Class of 2013! Salem, OR Senior Photographer

Monday, September 3rd, 2012

It’s that time again, school is starting back up again this week and the weather is turning cooler in the mornings and evenings. My favorite time of year is fall, I love the crisp air, the bright colors, the warm light, and Seniors!

Meet Carl, we had lots of fun at his session, he sure has mastered the serious look generally I crack up when I ask a senior for a straight face, which causes the senior to crack up, not Carl, he said he’s had years of playing serious faces with his brothers to perfect the look.

I think he has just the best smile around, so we didn’t try the serious look to much!
